ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEAD
Korda’s Resident Director Jeff Marontate has directed more than 45 productions with Korda; recently he directed sold-out runs of Frankenstein, Psycho Beach Party, Something Rotten and The Rocky Horror Show; he also directed the Korda/WCCA co-production Return to the Forbidden Planet. In addition to his work at Korda, Jeff has directed with local groups including Theatre Windsor, Sun Parlour Player and Rose City Rising Stars. His next production at Korda will be The Importance of Being Earnest, this September.

Later in the season, Korda will offer a similar workshop for secondary school students.​

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Participants will have the opportunity to work on selected scenes with local actors. Topics to be covered include text analysis, business and blocking, period and style, script interpretation and stage picture.

Call for Directors With Proposals for 2026

Korda Artistic Productions is accepting proposals from directors for their 2026 season.
Korda is a home-grown theatre company in Windsor, Ontario, that is dedicated to offering theatre shows that are extraordinary because of their provocative, challenging, and/or original content, striving to promote local artists by providing a supporting and stimulating environment in which to further develop their talents. For the second year in a row, Korda is looking for proposals for musicals or straight plays and will select from one to two proposals, depending on how the shows fit with the rest of Korda’s season.
Proposals should consist of the following materials, be planned for a three-weekend run, and must be submitted in PDF format.

**In terms of preferred time slot, please note that show openings are likely to be available late April to early May, September, and early November. However, dates will only be locked in once Korda has settled on its full season. While Korda does not traditionally present a summer production, those submitting proposals could also consider July and August. Consideration will be given to your preferred time slot.
